Our wines

Single vineyards

Pinot Noir and Riesling from the most exciting terroirs in Wachenheim, Bad Dürkheim and Gönnheim and some of them planed with very old, ungrafted vines. The vineyards of Schlossberg and Fuchsmantel are terraced and characterized by barren, light red sandstone soils and the cool climate of the Palatinate Forest. The Gönnheim sites of Sonnenberg and Mandelgarten are characterized by heavy, lime-rich loess soils and are particularly predestined for Pinot Noir. In addition to spontaneous fermentation, the low yields and long aging in wooden barrels make these wines unique representatives of their origins.

Toreye

Named after the feudal farm "Toreye", mentioned in 1350, to which the family's roots go back.

The wines of the Toreye selection come from selected single vineyards and village sites with old vines. Reduced yields, spontaneous fermentation and aging in traditional wooden barrels give these wines their complexity and good aging potential.

Village wines

The grapes for our village wines come from the vineyards around Gönnheim, which are characterized by heavy, lime-rich loess soils. The harvest is done by hand, followed by spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels and stainless-steel tanks. Following the principle of origin, this category is reserved for our main varieties Riesling and Pinot Noir.

Estate wines

The estate wines are the base of our range with a selection of the classic Palatinate grape varieties. Spontaneous fermentation and partial aging in wooden barrels give these accessible wines suspence , depth and character.

Sparkling wines

Our sparkling wines are made by traditional bottle fermentation. After an early, manual harvest and gentle pressing, spontaneous fermentation and maturing of the base wines in wooden barrels follow. Depending on the quality, they age on the lees for up to seven years. The production of sparkling wine is of particular importance to us and so we have been a member of the Association “Verband Deutscher Sektmacher” since 2019.
