Artisanal wines of origin from biodynamic viticulture

The Eymann Estate

Founded in 1961, our winery has been one of the pioneers of organic viticulture since the early 80s. We have been cultivating our vineyards according to biodynamic principles for over 15 years and have been a contract member of DEMETER since 2006. With great commitment to nature and species protection, we work today on almost 18 hectares of vineyards in Gönnheim, Bad Dürkheim and Wachenheim. Our focus is on the production of classic wines originating from Riesling and Pinot Noir as well as sparkling wines from traditional bottle fermentation.

Our conviction

Our viticultural and oenological philosophy is characterized by craftsmanship and sustainable management. Manual picking, spontaneous fermentation and natural stabilization through a long aging on the lees allow us to work without oenological additives and fining agents in the cellar. Our goal is to reproduce the history of our fruit and land in our wines- marked by terroir, climate, and vintage- as unadulterated as possible.

Vincent Eymann

Vincent has been running the family winery since 2015, supported by his mother Inge in the office and our long-term employee Sebastian in the cellar. Vincent has shaped the company's focus on Riesling and Pinot Noir in recent years and expanded the winery with vineyards in Dürkheimer Fuchsmantel and Wachenheimer Schlossberg. With foresight and sensitivity, he now dedicates himself to the production of expressive wines of origin.

“Our goal is to depict the history of our fruit in our wines- marked by terroir, climate, and vintage- as unadulterated as possible The Schlossberg and Fuchsmantel vineyards, with their old, ungrafted vines and dry stone walls combined with the cool climate of the Palatinate forest have great potential for this."

— Vincent Eymann

Vineyards

Our winery is located in Gönnheim, a small village not far from the Palatinate Forest and the German Wine Route. The soils of the Sonnenberg and Mandelgarten vineyards in Gönnheim are characterized by heavy, lime-rich loess soils and are particularly predestined for Pinot Noir. For our single vineyards, we work with dense plantings of over 9,000 vines per hectare.

The vineyards of Wachenheimer Schlossberg and Dürkheimer Fuchsmantel are terraced and characterized by barren, light red sandstone soils and the cool climate of the Palatinate Forest. Here we are very fortunate to be able to cultivate some of the last ancient, ungrafted plots in the Region.
